Petition for Presidential Pardon Dear Sir, I am writing this petition on behalf of my family and myself requesting and begging you, Mr. President, to grant our relative, Naif Al-Yousif, who is currently jailed at Sterling Correctional Facility, Colorado, beg you sir to grant him Presidential pardon before the end of your presidential term. > > > > Our relative was involved along with two other Saudi nationals in the killing of Abdulaziz Al-Khoheji in Denver in January 2001. The other two Saudi nationals fled to Saudi Arabia but our relative remained in the U.S. and handed himself to the authorities in Denver . He was later tried and put in prison for felony murder. The other two Saudi nationals were arrested in Saudi Arabia , tried and put in prison. After five years of their imprisonment the father of Abulaziz Al-Khojeji pardoned all the persons involved in the killing of his son, including our relative Naif. The two Saudi nationals were then released from prison in early 2005, after spending five years in prison. However, our relative Naif remained in prison in Colorado until now. It maybe worth mentioning that this case involved no Americans or American property. All the involved were Saudi students studying in Denver . We respect the laws of the U.S. and the state of Colorado , however, in the spirit of genuine mutual and long-lasting relationship between our two nations, we humbly seek your help in granting our relative Presidential pardon before the end of your term in office. A positive gesture by your office will bring about positive message to everyone, especially to Saudi nationals, who have friendly feeling toward the United States of America , who have studied there and enjoyed the American hospitality. Thank you.
